When a loved one recovers, moves to assisted living or passes away, the medical equipment stays behind. A full-size hospital bed takes over the spare room. The wheelchair, walker and shower chair sit in the garage. Rental companies only pick up what they rented, and the equipment you bought is yours to deal with.

Extreme Junk Removal is a family-owned, licensed and insured business in Palm Coast. We’ve helped families across Flagler, St. Johns and Volusia counties clear out homes for more than nine years. We know these jobs are often about more than junk, and we work at your pace.

How it works

Three steps. That’s it.

  1. 1. Text a photo

Snap a few photos of what needs to go and text them to 386-627-4071.

  2. 2. Get your price

We look at the size and weight and text you back a price.

  3. 3. We haul it away

Our crew shows up and everything goes into our 15-yard dump trailer.

Medical equipment we haul

  • Home hospital beds, manual and electric
  • Hospital bed mattresses and rails
  • Wheelchairs and transport chairs
  • Walkers, rollators, canes and crutches
  • Shower chairs, transfer benches and raised toilet seats
  • Bedside tables and overbed tables
  • Power recliners and seat-raise chairs
  • Mobility scooters, once the batteries are removed

What we can’t haul

We haul equipment, not medical waste. We don’t take needles, sharps containers, medications, oxygen tanks or anything soiled with bodily fluids. Please check with your pharmacy or medical supplier for those. Oxygen concentrators and CPAP machines are fine once they’re unplugged and the oxygen supply is returned.

If the equipment was rented, call the supplier first. They’ll usually pick up their own bed, and you don’t want us hauling equipment that belongs to someone else.

Before we come

  1. Unplug electric beds and lower them all the way down if they still work.
  2. Set aside anything you’re keeping, like paperwork, a good walker or the wheelchair a relative wants.
  3. Tell us where everything is so we can plan the route out.

Clearing the rest of the home

Medical equipment is often one part of a bigger job. See estate cleanouts, move-out and downsizing cleanouts, recliner removal and bed frame removal. Questions about how we work? See our FAQ or about us.
