New water heater in, old one sitting in the garage? It happens all the time. The plumber swaps the tank and the old one ends up next to the car, or out on the side of the house. It’s heavy, awkward and won’t fit in the trash can. That’s where we come in.

Extreme Junk Removal is a family-owned, licensed and insured junk removal company from Palm Coast. For more than nine years we’ve hauled appliances, water heaters and garage junk from St. Augustine to New Smyrna Beach, and our customers have left us 200+ Google reviews.

How it works

Three steps. That’s it.

  1. 1. Text a photo

Snap a few photos of what needs to go and text them to 386-627-4071.

  2. 2. Get your price

We look at the size and weight and text you back a price.

  3. 3. We haul it away

Our crew shows up and everything goes into our 15-yard dump trailer.

Water heaters we haul

  • Electric and gas tank water heaters
  • 40-, 50- and 80-gallon tanks
  • Tankless units that have been taken off the wall
  • Old water softeners and expansion tanks
  • The boxes and packing from the new unit, if you want them gone too

Before we get there

We only haul. We don’t do any plumbing, gas or electrical work. Before we arrive, the old water heater needs to be:

  1. Disconnected from water, gas or power by your plumber or a licensed pro
  2. Drained, so there’s no standing water left in the tank

Once that’s done, it can be in the garage, a utility closet, the side yard or at the curb. Tell us where it is when you text your photo, along with any stairs or tight spots.

Add the rest of the garage

If the old tank is in the garage, there’s a good chance it isn’t the only thing in there you’re done with. Old fridges, broken shelving, boxes and yard tools can all go in the same trip. See garage cleanouts and appliance removal.

Frequently asked questions

Do you disconnect the old water heater?

No. We only haul. Have your plumber or a licensed pro disconnect it from water, gas or power first.

Does the tank need to be drained?

Yes. Please make sure it’s fully drained before we arrive, so there’s no standing water left inside.

How much is water heater removal?

A single water heater starts at our $125 minimum. If you add more items, we price by how much of the trailer they fill.

Can you get it out of a closet or the garage?

Yes. Once it’s disconnected and drained, it can be in a utility closet, the garage, the side yard or at the curb. Tell us about stairs when you text.

Do you haul tankless units too?

Yes, once the unit has been taken off the wall and disconnected by your plumber.
